I bought Tree in a gallon pot in the end of season sale. It made it through the winter buried in mulch. Now I would like to plant it as a bonsai. Should I design it (prune) it now and leave it in its gallon pot or plant in a training pot which would involve some root pruning? Could I do both now or would that be too much of a shock?
