Homeschool Science Supplement at Plains Conservation Center: Optics

Light behaves in interesting ways, making the way see the world as well as beautiful phenomena like rainbows. In this class, students will look at the way light behaves, contrast transparent, translucent and opaque materials, learn about reflection and refraction, explore the optical spectrum and more!

Homeschool science supplement classes are designed for 4th-9th graders to expand on their scientific knowledge and skills.

Audience: Homeschool families with children in grades 4 - 9.



Program Fee: $16 per child, $14 member child; One adult per child is free of charge. Additional adults and non-participating siblings ages 3 and up are $7 each. Non-participating siblings do not participate in take home activities.
