A small group experience that highlights books from the Library’s rare book collection. Join us in the Edward P. Connors Rare Books Reading Room to see some of the most distinctive items in our rare books collection up close. Topics vary by class.


Explore the subject of the Victorian era’s famous flower obsession in this hour-long library program. From a scientific treatise by Darwin in 1862 to Grace Greylock Niles’ charming 1904 Bog-Trotting for Orchids, orchid lovers and book lovers alike will enjoy getting an up-close-and-personal look at these rare gems all about the world’s second-largest flowing plant family.
