Orchid Showcase Hours

Saturday, Jan. 10 – Sunday, Jan. 11, 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 12 – Monday, Feb. 16, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

There are two SCFD Free Days during the Showcase that provides free general admission with advance reservations: January 19 and February 12.

Enjoy a mindfulness journey while strolling through the display to help start the new year on a tranquil note with prompts to slow down, take a deep breath and experience nature with all the senses. Quotes about orchids from Confucius, Charles Darwin, Lydia M. Child, Thich Nhat Hanh and others are included on graphics throughout the Orangery.
 

Orchid Sales

Colorado orchid grower Fantasy Orchids will be in the Orangery on select dates selling orchids, while supplies last. Members receive a 10 percent discount on orchid purchases by presenting a valid digital membership card or member admission ticket. General admission is required for access to the sale. 

Saturdays: Jan. 10, 17 & 24, 31, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Saturdays: Feb. 7 & 14, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The Orchid Showcase Photo Contest will not take place in 2026. We plan on resuming the contest in 2027. We invite you to take orchid photos for personal use and tag us on social media as we will share some visitor photos throughout the run of the display on our Instagram and Facebook. If photos are for commercial or fine art use, a photography permit is required. Please submit the permit request at least one week prior to the date you plan to visit.
